Meet the team

  • Kevin - Founder

Since I was 16, I have completely fallen for fitness. Back then, I thought: 'I'm addicted.' Wrong, because after 9 years of fitness, I discovered CrossFit. I was completely lost. Lost in the ignorance of the sport, constantly discovering new movements, skills, personal records, just blissful.

Let that be what we stand for at Barbell Rebels Retreats. Discovering a new, vibrant environment combined with the amazing world of fitness and health.

  • Robin - Founder

Paratrooper and Physical Training Instructor at Defense.
Driven by everything related to sports and coaching.

So, I decided to make a CrossFit box my second home and the rest is history.

With a (healthy) addiction to CrossFit, I help everyone to push their limits.

  • Michael - Founder

If you had told me years ago that CrossFit would one day become one of my favorite hobbies, I would have probably laughed and flipped my pizza one more time. But look at me now, CrossFit has stolen my heart after a trial class with a colleague. You can now find me in the box more often than a caffeine addict at Starbucks!

My other great love is computer science, so if you have anything to say about IT at Barbell Rebels Retreats, I'm your man. Let those bits and burpees come.

  • Alan

I am a 41-year-old man with a versatile and dynamic background. Born in England, raised in Portugal, and living in the Netherlands for the past sixteen years. With a deep-rooted passion for fitness, I have an extensive history in bodybuilding and fitness, complemented by three years of dedication to powerlifting. Over the past three years, I have fully immersed myself in CrossFit, continuously advancing my fitness journey.

Our mission

Barbell Rebels Retreats's mission is to promote the health and well-being of communities through education, support, and the encouragement of physical activity and sports. We aim to organize accessible and high-quality educational programs and workshops on healthy lifestyle, nutrition, mental health, and physical activity. Both locally and abroad.

In addition, we want to harness the power of sports by organizing sports camps, where participants have the opportunity to discover their own strengths, develop their skills, and promote cultural exchange.

By collaborating with local communities in different countries and other organizations, we aim to have a positive impact on the health of individuals.
